I once had this crazy idea “someday” when life settled into place and I worked out my “stuff,” I would share what I learned through inspirational speaking.
Then, one day I woke with a very clear message:
STOP waiting! STOP being focused on “someday.”
If I didn’t define the someday, someday would never come. What I realized was that someday, was a curtain I was hiding behind…
A curtain that was giving me permission to continue my obsession with the word PERFECT.
A curtain that was giving me permission to hide.
A curtain that was holding me back from my vision and my purpose in life.
What the word “someday” was telling me inner voice was UGLY.
Ultimately, my inner voice (aka my obsession with the word perfect) was assuring me I would fail! And the fear of failing was stopping me from even starting, ugh!
Please tell me I’m not the ONLY human who has traveled this path?
- Why do we feel like perfect is the spot to be?
- Who defined perfect was even the “all mighty” spot to be?
